Who I Am

My name is Melissa Ball. I am the proud mother of three children and have a strong interest in peer support for new moms and breastfeeding women. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Communications from Carleton University in 2004 and am now working as a certifying doula, here in Fort McMurray. I am actively studying to write the IBLCE, Registered Lactation Consultant exam and have created and host "Bosom Buddies" - a free breastfeeding/post partum drop in at The Hub. For over 3 years now I have been helping Canadian parents across the nation on an online database, now I am helping Fort McMurray parents in person and by telephone support. I am glad to help make a difference.
